Tributary words from Hearts on the same page

The following is a poem me and ej wrote together, alternating stanzas (taking turns writing a stanza) in tribute to a friend in need of more than words... but we are trying our hardest anyways.




To stand by you till the end of time, and beyond it
With each labored breath, uttering words for you to keep
And with looks from eyes that beat back relentless time, giving all one can need,
i confide in your promises and your kisses as you shall confide in mine
With every step time takes towards my fate,
hold me
With every inviting whisper that I get in cold nights to rest,
hold me.
And from every shadowed thought or nightmare wrought,
hold me
For in a fervor of passion i will beat back all that stands between you and our realm,
Now hold me for in doing so, i can hold on to all that matters, and all that has ever mattered
Like all things, this too, shall pass, we shall move on
One way or another, I will be with you; in spirit if not by body.
And from thought HE brings upon us a truth... that no matter what and how, like a bright blue sky all will be open for us for in time, with time, you and i will work wherever you go.
